What is Bay Shield MPF?
Bay Shield is a Marine protection film designed to withstand the harshest of elements, great defense against oxidation, scuffs, scratches, blood, fading, and marring. This film is also ceramic infused adding glossiness and hydrophobicity.
How to maintain?
Maintenance is now reduced to a bare minimum. To maintain Bay Shield, we recommend a quick wash with a SiO2 soap, recommended every 2-4 months.
Can Bay Shield go on top of a vinyl wrap?
Bay Shield can go on top a a vinyl wrap. Bay Shield will act as a physical protective layer protecting your vinyl designs, also adding enhanced gloss and UV protection.
Are there guarantees?
We guarantee Bay Shield to last 4 years from date of initial install.
What happens when it gets damaged?
Fortunately, Bay Shield is a self-regenerating polyurethane film. Any micro scratches will fully heal themselves over a 36-48 hour period in direct sunlight. Major damages will require a film reinstallation on damaged areas which is completely seamless.
What if i have an old boat?
That's ok, luckily for you Bay Shield has certified marine detailers on standby ready to come out and prep the surface! Prep work can vary depending on oxidation levels.
How long does it last?
Bay Shield lasts anywhere from 6-8 years with proper maintenance.
What surfaces can Bay Shield go on?
Bay Shield can go on to any hard, flat surface on your vessel including, hull sides, top side surfaces, gunnels, countertops, engine cowlings, and screens. Bay Shield will not go on non-skid, glass, or the belly of your vessel.
